Ryno Deysel
BSc (Act Sci) BSc Hons (Maths of Finance) CFA H.Dip. Tax Law

After finishing his actuarial science bursary obligations at Liberty Life, Ryno embarked on a career in investment banking by joining UAL as a quantitative analyst and later on he advanced into derivative sales and structuring by joining UBS Warburg on the equity derivatives desk. Ryno subsequently spent three years at Mettle Ltd specialising in structured finance where he was a Director of Mettle Securities. After four years at Standard Bank (SCMB) on the interest rate sales and structuring desk he joined Investec Bank focusing on the credit derivative business and looking after the placement & syndication desk. Prior to joining Cinque, Ryno was a Director at Citibank responsible for fixed income currency and commodities (FICC) sales and structuring to the institutional market in South Africa. In total Ryno has 16 years experience in the financial markets.

Ryno is a director and shareholder of Cinque Capital, a specialised financial services company. Ryno is a director and shareholder of Human Capital, a specialist financial services recruitment company.

Ryno lectures the Actuarial Science Honours students on Investments & Asset Management (Subject CA1 of the Institute of Actuaries) at the University of Witwatersrand.


Namir L. Waisberg

Namir Waisberg is a qualified Actuary and CFA Charterholder. He also holds a joint honours in Actuarial Science and Advanced Mathematics of Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Namir worked at Investec Bank in the Capital Markets division for four years. His experience and responsibilities included derivative valuations, derivative structuring, derivative sales and derivative trading across asset classes, including interest rates/bonds, equities and currencies. His clients included Top 40 JSE listed corporates, Private Equity Funds and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals.

Namir chairs the Actuarial Society’s Investment Committee. He currently serves as a board member on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange Index Committee, the Bond Exchange Index Committee and the CFA South Africa Society. Namir has lectured Investments & Asset Management (Subject CA1 of the Institute of Actuaries) at the University of Witwatersrand for the past six years and continues to do so. In total Namir has 7 years experience in the financial markets.

Namir’s business interests include a commercial property investment fund, a financial services training business and a financial services consulting business which provides consulting services to listed and unlisted companies. Namir is also a director and shareholder of Human Capital, a specialist financial services recruitment company.
